Sunlight Soap is a classic plant-based soap bar with glycerine that can be used as a gentle cleaner for smooth leather when diluted and used carefully. It helps lift everyday dirt and light grime from leather items like shoes, boots, belts, bags, and leather accessories—making it a handy option for basic leather maintenance.
Made with vegetable oils and glycerine, this hard soap contains 30% soap and less than 5% perfume, with a fresh lemon scent.

Why it works for leather cleaning

  • Mild, glycerine-based soap that can help remove surface dirt
  • Useful for regular, light cleaning of smooth leather
  • Easy to use at home with just water and a cloth/sponge

How to use on leather (recommended)

  1. Test first on a small hidden area.
  2. Lightly dampen a cloth or sponge (don’t soak the leather).
  3. Rub the cloth on the soap to create a small amount of lather.
  4. Wipe the leather gently in circular motions.
  5. Remove any residue with a clean, slightly damp cloth.
  6. Let dry naturally, then condition the leather to prevent dryness.
Important notes
  • For smooth leather only (not suede/nubuck).
  • Avoid heavy scrubbing and avoid leaving soap residue behind.
  • Conditioning after cleaning is strongly recommended.
