Product description

Fiebing’s Antique Finish Paste – (4 oz / 118 ml) is a traditional antique paste that darkens impressions and boosts contrast on tooled, carved, stamped, and embossed vegetable-tanned leather. It settles into cuts and backgrounding to make details pop, giving projects a bold, aged look.
Best for
  • Tooled belts, wallets, sheaths, western tooling
  • Basketweave and geometric stamping
  • Adding black shading and “aged” character
How to use
  1. Tool/stamp veg-tan leather and let it dry completely.
  2. (Recommended) Apply a resist/finish first if you want easier wipe-back and lighter overall darkening.
  3. Rub paste in with a cloth/sponge, pushing it into the impressions.
  4. Wipe off excess and buff to even out the tone.
  5. Seal with your preferred top coat if needed.
Notes
  • Designed to highlight tooling (not a full-penetration dye).
  • Always test on scrap first—absorption varies by leather.
