Streched Boyoma black girth straps are essential elements in the world of saddlery. Designed to ensure optimum saddle attachment, they guarantee even pressure distribution and provide incomparable comfort for horse and rider alike. Made from our full grain unpressed, uncorrected, smooth-grained streched Boyoma leather. This leather, from a double tanning process: vegetable retanned with mineral, is reworked wet and positioned on frames. Under tension, it minimizes its elasticity and elongation, and increases its absorption of direct stress without altering its tensile strength. This leather benefits from a aniline finish which preserves the natural appearance of the leather. The aniline finish consists in applying a thin, transparent layer without altering the texture of the leather. It is nourished throughout with a tallow bath (a mixture of paraffin and beef fat), more commonly known as " tallow leather". This fat bath nourishment makes the leather easier to cut and work with, as well as increasing its resistance to water. Tallow provides maintenance-free leather, as the grease is constantly applied to the surface of the leather, giving it the necessary nourishment and an excellent patina. Thanks to this nourishment, Boyoma saddlery leather has advanced resistance to outdoor use, rejecting any external disturbance (water / saline environment).
Our tests show that leather elongation over 1000 stretching cycles at 75 Kg is less than 6%. In addition, a 25mm wide, 4.5mm thick strap has a breaking strength of over 360 Kg, the average being 450 Kg.
Boyoma girth straps come from tageted livestocks beef or bulls originating in France, Germany, Spain or Italy. To ensure the quality of the leather used in its production, a leather tracibility process has been implemented at Radermecker Tannery. The hides are marked 3 times with 3 identifiers at each stage: on receipt of the hides, enabling traceability of the origin of the hides; during the tanning process; during the finishing process. Traceability covers sourcing, drum, finishing and associated quality testing.
streched Boyoma black streched Boyoma girth straps play a crucial role in the manufacture and restoration of riding saddles, whether for dressage, racing or training. Their sturdiness ensures that the saddle stays firmly in place, while their flexibility makes them ideal for intensive use. They integrate perfectly with both traditional and innovative attachment systems, guaranteeing safety and comfort on every ride.
streched Boyoma black leather is one-third butt. The butt is one of the thickest and firmest areas of hide . The flanks, shoulder and all extremities have been removed. The butt is considered the noblest part of the hide. This area has no primer and can therefore be cut in any direction. This area is used in particular for parts requiring greater strength.
streched Boyoma black streched Boyoma girth straps are available in 2 sizes in chocolate - thickness 4/4.5mm :
Thanks to tallow bath feeding, the fat is impregnated throughout the entire thickness of the saddlery leather streched Boyoma, so there's no need to feed over time. Food can be added to the grain to ensure its greasy appearance or to accelerate the leather's patina. This care of the grain ensures a longer life. Our Della saddlery leather will resist humidity. Simply leave to dry at room temperature to regain its appearance. Due to its nourishment in tallow baths (fats), a whitish film of paraffin can form on temperature shocks. Simply rub it off.
grith straps are the essential choice for demanding saddlery professionals. By opting for this exceptional leather, you're betting on craftsmanship and long-lasting performance that will enhance every one of your equestrian creations.
