How to use the Fiebing’s Leather Care & Dye Set

1. Clean the leather — All Purpose Cleaner & Conditioner

Use this first to remove dirt, grease and surface residues. Apply a small amount to a clean cloth or sponge and gently work it into the leather. Allow the leather to dry completely before dyeing.

2. Dye the leather — Fiebing’s Pro Dye

Choose your preferred colour from the 9 available options. Shake the bottle well before use. Apply a thin, even coat with a wool dauber, sponge or soft cloth. Let it dry, then apply additional thin coats until you achieve the desired depth of colour.

Tip: Always test the dye on a scrap piece or hidden area first. Pro Dye penetrates deeply and the final colour can vary depending on the original leather colour and finish.

3. Condition and nourish — All Purpose Cleaner & Conditioner

Once the dye is completely dry, a light application can help restore softness and flexibility. Apply sparingly and allow it to absorb.

4. Clean and maintain — Fiebing’s Liquid Glycerine Saddle Soap

For regular cleaning and maintenance, apply a small amount with a damp cloth or sponge and gently work it into the leather. Remove excess product and allow to dry naturally.

5. Deeper cleaning — Fiebing’s Saddle Soap

Use the traditional Saddle Soap when the leather needs a more thorough clean. Work a small amount into the leather with a damp sponge, clean away excess residue and allow the leather to dry naturally. Follow with conditioner if the leather feels dry.

Important

These products are primarily intended for smooth, finished or unfinished vegetable-tanned/full-grain leather. Avoid using dye or saddle soap on suede, nubuck, very heavily finished leather or delicate specialty leathers without testing first.
