At Hab-To Leather House, we strive to deliver your order within 3 working days.

Our trusted shipping partner, Postnl, ensures efficient delivery. Shipping costs are calculated based on weight and actual pricing, with letterbox packages costing a maximum of €4.50 and regular shipping priced at €7.25.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, we provide international shipping services. Shipping costs are automatically calculated based on your location and the weight of your order, ensuring a transparent and hassle-free process.

What is your return and exchange policy?

Our return and exchange policy allows you to return or exchange a product within 7 days of delivery without specifying a reason. To facilitate smooth processing, please provide essential information, including your order and invoice numbers, name, company name, address, phone number, and IBAN account details. Please note that return costs are the responsibility of the customer. Additionally, customized or made-to-order items cannot be returned. Rest assured, we strive to process refunds promptly, within a maximum of 30 days.

General Terms and Conditions

Definitions

  • HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE, established at Keienbergweg 97, Amsterdam, 1101GG, Chamber of Commerce no. 86021621.
  • Customer: the party which HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE has entered into an agreement with.
  • Parties: HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE and customer together.
  • Consumer: a customer who is an individual acting for private purposes.

Applicability

  • These terms and conditions will apply to all quotations, offers, activities, orders, agreements, and deliveries of services or products by or on behalf of HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE.
  • Parties can only deviate from these conditions if they have explicitly agreed upon in writing.
  • The parties expressly exclude the applicability of supplementary and/or deviating general terms and conditions of the customer or of third parties.

Prices

  • All prices used by HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE are in euros, are inclusive of VAT and exclusive of any other costs such as administration costs, levies, and travel, shipping, or transport expenses, unless expressly stated otherwise or agreed otherwise.
  • HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE is entitled to adjust all prices for its products or services, shown in its shop, on its website, or otherwise, at any time.
  • Increases in the cost prices of products or parts thereof, which HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE could not foresee at the time of making an offer or the conclusion of the agreement, may give rise to price increases.
  • The consumer has the right to terminate an agreement as a result of a price increase as referred to in paragraph 3, unless the increase is the result of statutory regulation.

Samples / models

If the customer has received a sample or model of a product, they cannot derive any rights from this other than that it is an indication of the nature of the product, unless the parties have explicitly agreed that the products be supplied conform to the sample or model.

Payments and payment term

  • HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE may, at the conclusion of the agreement, require a down payment of up to 100% of the agreed amount.
  • The customer must have paid the full amount at the time of purchase.
  • Payment terms are considered as fatal payment terms. This means that if the customer has not paid the agreed amount at the latest on the last day of the payment term, they are legally in default, without HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE having to send the customer a reminder or to put them in default.
  • HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE reserves the right to make a delivery conditional upon immediate payment or to require adequate security for the total amount of the services or products.

Right of recovery of goods

  • As soon as the customer is in default, HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE is entitled to invoke the right of recovery with regard to the unpaid products delivered to the customer.
  • HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE invokes the right of recovery by means of a written or electronic announcement.
  • As soon as the customer has been informed of the claimed right of recovery, the customer must immediately return the products concerned to HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE, unless the parties agree to make other arrangements about this.
  • The costs for the collection or return of the products are at the expense of the customer.

Right of withdrawal

  • A consumer may cancel an online purchase during a cooling-off period of 14 days without giving any reason, provided that:
  • the product has not been used
  • it is not a product that can spoil quickly, like food or flowers
  • the product is not specially tailored for the consumer or adapted to its special needs
  • it is not a product that may not be returned for hygienic reasons (earrings, etc.)
  • the consumer has not renounced their right of withdrawal
  • The cooling-off period of 14 days as referred to in paragraph 1 commences:
  • on the day after the consumer has received the last product or part of 1 order
  • as soon as the consumer has received the first product of a subscription
  • as soon as the consumer has confirmed the purchase of digital content via the internet
  • The consumer can notify their right of withdrawal via leatherhousenl@gmail.com.
  • The consumer is obliged to return the product to HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE within 14 days after the notification of their right of withdrawal, after which period their right of withdrawal will lapse.

Reimbursement of delivery costs

  • If the purchase costs and any other costs (such as shipping and return costs) are eligible for reimbursement according to the law, the consumer covers these costs within 14 days of receipt of the timely appeal to the right of withdrawal.
  • The costs for return are only reimbursed by HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE if the complete order is returned.

Retention of title

  • HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE can appeal to its right of retention of title and, in that case, retain the products sold by HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE to the customer until the customer has paid all outstanding invoices with regard to HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE, unless the customer has provided sufficient security for these payments.
  • The right of retention of title also applies based on previous agreements from which the customer still owes payments to HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE.
  • HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE is never liable for any damage that the customer may suffer as a result of using its right of retention of title.

Settlement

The customer waives their right to settle any debt to HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE with any claim on HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE.

Expiry period

Every right of the customer to compensation from HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE shall, in any case, expire within 12 months after the event from which the liability arises directly or indirectly. This does not exclude the provisions in article 6:89 Dutch Civil Code.

Dissolution

  • The customer has the right to dissolve the agreement if HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE imputably fails in the fulfillment of its obligations, unless this shortcoming does not justify termination due to its special nature or because it is of minor significance.
  • If the fulfillment of the obligations by HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE is not permanent or temporarily impossible, dissolution can only take place after HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE is in default.
  • HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE has the right to dissolve the agreement with the customer if the customer does not fully or timely fulfill their obligations under the agreement, or if circumstances give HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE good grounds to fear that the customer will not be able to fulfill their obligations properly.

Force majeure

  • In addition to the provisions of article 6:75 Dutch Civil Code, a shortcoming of HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE in the fulfillment of any obligation to the customer cannot be attributed to HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE in any situation independent of the will of HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE, when the fulfillment of its obligations towards the customer is prevented in whole or in part or when the fulfillment of its obligations cannot reasonably be required from HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE.
  • The force majeure situation referred to in paragraph 1 is also applicable - but not limited to: state of emergency (such as civil war, insurrection, riots, natural disasters, etc.); defaults and force majeure of suppliers, deliverymen or other third parties; unexpected disturbances of power, electricity, internet, computer, or telecoms; computer viruses, strikes, government measures, unforeseen transport problems, bad weather conditions, and work stoppages.
  • If a situation of force majeure arises as a result of which HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE cannot fulfill one or more obligations towards the customer, these obligations will be suspended until HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE can comply with it.
  • From the moment that a force majeure situation has lasted at least 30 calendar days, both parties may dissolve the agreement in writing in whole or in part.
  • HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE does not owe any (damage) compensation in a situation of force majeure, even if it has obtained any advantages as a result of the force majeure situation.

Modification of the agreement

If, after the conclusion of the agreement and before its implementation, it appears necessary to change or supplement its contents, the parties shall timely and in mutual consultation adjust the agreement accordingly.

Changes in the general terms and conditions

  • HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE is entitled to amend or supplement these general terms and conditions.
  • Changes of minor importance can be made at any time.
  • Major changes in content will be discussed by HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE with the customer in advance as much as possible.
  • Consumers are entitled to cancel the agreement in the event of a substantial change to the general terms and conditions.

Transfer of rights

  • The customer cannot transfer their rights deferring from an agreement with HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE to third parties without the prior written consent of HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE.
  • This provision applies as a clause with a property law effect as referred to in Section 3:83 (2) Dutch Civil Code.

Consequences of nullity or annulability

  • If one or more provisions of these general terms and conditions prove null or annullable, this will not affect the other provisions of these terms and conditions.
  • A provision that is null or annullable shall, in that case, be replaced by a provision that comes closest to what HAB TO LEATHER HOUSE had in mind when drafting the conditions on that issue.

Return policy

Returns

Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

All of our product descriptions include dimensions and scale information to indicate an accurate representation of the products.

If your item does arrive faulty or damaged during shipping, you may be eligible for a refund. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

In this case, we are happy to refund you fully, and will cover the return postage of the damaged item for you.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. These include earrings.

Additional non-returnable items:

- Gift cards
- Downloadable products
- Personal care items
- Workshops and classes

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please contact us within 14 days of purchase to settle a return in case the item arrives damaged, attaching images of the damage in your email.

Please do not send your purchase back to Hab-To Leather House without prior communication.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):

Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery.

Refunds

Once your return enquiry is received and inspected, we will send you an email or direct message to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed. You can choose to receive an E-Gift Card credit or cash refund to the original method of payment.

If you choose the E-Gift Card credit, you will be issued an email with confirmation within 1-3 days of when we receive the parcel. Your credit will be valid to spend for 6 months of email upon any product in our online store.

If you choose the cash refund, it will automatically be released to your credit card or original method of payment within 30 days.

Late or missing refunds

Depending on the payment method and the bank you are with, refund payments may vary. If you haven’t received a refund in the expected timeframe of 7-10 business days, check your bank account in a few days in case it has taken longer to process.

Then, contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted to your account.

Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Sale items are only available in cases of item arriving damaged.

Exchanges

Exchanges are subject to the same conditions as refunds. If you would like to exchange it for the same item of different size, send us an email at leatherhousenl@gmail.com. Once your inquiry is approved, send your item to: Keienbergweg 97, Amsterdam, 1101 GG.

Gifts

If your item arrived damaged and it was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, an E-Gift Card will be emailed to you, which is redeemable in our online store.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the person who gifted it to you had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the person who purchased it and notify them about your return.

Shipping

After communicating with us via email, return your item to an address provided via email.

When applicable, we will cover the shipping costs for returning your item. 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee your returned item will arrive safely otherwise. If you have questions regarding shipping, please email us directly to discuss your case.
