How to Use It

1. Prepare your leather

Place your leather on the cutting mat. Use the bone folder to transfer your pattern and mark fold lines cleanly without scratching the surface.

2. Punch your stitch holes

Select the right pricking iron for your run — use the 8-prong for long straight lines, the 4-prong for medium runs, and the 2-prong for corners and curves. Strike firmly with a mallet on a solid surface.

3. Glue your layers

Apply Ecostick 1804 to both surfaces using the plastic spatula. Allow to become touch-dry, then press the layers firmly together.

4. Stitch

Thread two needles with waxed thread and saddle stitch through the punched holes. The stitching awl is useful for tighter spots or thicker leather where the iron can't reach.

5. Bevel and burnish the edges

Run the edge beveler along all cut edges to remove the sharp corner. Apply a small amount of Tokonole with your finger or a scrap of leather and work the edge slicker back and forth until the edge is smooth and polished.

6. Finish

Your piece is ready. The practice leather included lets you run through every step before working on your main project.
