The Galley leather wallet pattern is a PDF downloadable leather crafting pattern to create a long wallet with five or seven card slots, one zipper coin compartment and two banknotes/receipts compartments. It is an Intermediate skill level wallet template that is easier to build than the usual long wallet designs since it does not include T-shaped card pockets that require skiving or sewing at their bottom edges. The leather pattern includes step-by-step assembly instructions with pictures to guide you through the build. Using the same pattern you can also make a few variations of the Galley wallet - you can skip the cards pocket that is on top of the coin pocket or the closure strap for a couple of simpler versions. Or you can make a slick, lean zipper wallet by making the Coin Pocket with the two card pockets on it as a stand-alone piece to be carried in a purse or by itself while running a quick errand. This product is a digital PDF pattern designed by DS Leather Goods and not a physical item. Since this is a digital download product, returns, refunds and exchanges are not accepted. Your download link will become available as soon as your order is completed.
Important: PDF files are intended for printing only and cannot be opened in a PDF editing software. Laser cutting is not possible.
Leather: 1.4-1.6mm thickness (3.5-4oz).
Skill level: Advanced
Pattern specific tools/materials:
You will need 1mm, 2mm, 3mm and 5mm hole punches.
Hardware: 1 split key ring (25 or 30mm diameter) & one 8mm button stud. If you use a smaller button stud at 6.9-7mm then punch a 4mm hole in the strap instead of a 5mm one.
Basic Instructions
> Print pattern at 100% scale and verify size using the Print Accuracy Test.
Measure and cut on the outside edge of the lines.
> Review the Instructions PDF file before commencing with the build.
Note: Stitching holes in the pattern are 3.5mm from the edge and spaced at 3.85mm.
> If you are a 1-person small leather crafting business you can sell as many products as you want that you made using this pattern, otherwise please consider the pattern for personal use only.
> Selling or distributing this pattern via any means for commercial or non-commercial purposes is forbidden. Mass production of the final product via any means is not allowed.
